Flash Me Suddenly! works like so every month:
1. For writers: prompt challenges. Writers send in responses. KEY: FLASH FICTION. Under 1000 words. Panel of judges read. Winner picked. Winner, aka that month's Flasher, gets showcased for the next month. For details on the dates, look at the associated Time Period.
2. Every month, we'll put up articles by Le Meg, McQuinn, and others. For your viewing pleasure.

FMS Background
In the meantime, here's some background on the naming of this site…
We came up with the name Flash Me Suddenly because Flash Fiction is going to be a key point for the prompts here. We're focusing on creating good work by using words as best possible. "1,000 words is considered the cut-off between 'flash fiction' and the slightly longer 'sudden fiction.'" ~a la Wiki Hence, Flash Me Suddenly.
(And, come on. Who doesn't love quickies? ;])
