The How-To and Process of our monthly prompts.
Interested?
By the 1st of the month, a new prompt/challenge will be revealed. Writers have two weeks (a deadline will also be announced) to submit a piece that follows the plotline and/or other parameters outlined in the Prompts page. :)
Once all submissions have been submitted, a panel of three judges will have a week to read and judge the submissions based on Originality, Grammar&Spelling and Enjoyment.
Once the judges have submitted their ratings to Mae, the results will be posted. :) Refer below for more info about what you could receive.
Mmm…Whatchu Get ♫
So, you want to know what you'll get if you win a month's prompt challenge, right?
1. You'll get to have your FictionPress name (or whichever name you want) advertised on the left hand menu for a full month (or until the next month's winner is announced).
2. You'll receive a graphics banner to show off on whatever site you please that will include the Month, your name, and the title of your Flash Fiction piece.
3. Last, but probably the best… you'll receive a compiled review from all the judges, detailing what they liked/disliked, etc.
4. So? What more could you ask of us?
I know, a hottie with a body to molest.Go, go, go! (If you have ideas for other possible awards, feel free to contact us and let us know about it. :D)
So Do It!
To qualify as an entrant, you have to comply with the following:
1. The entry you submit to us must be your writing and new (done for the prompt, and not something you've had laying around :P).
2. The entry cannot be posted onto FictionPress until all submissions are in (so the deadline date).
3. Any rating is permissible, so long as it isn't porn. NC-17 is accepted (after all, we did say we love our quickies. ;))—simply, keep it tasteful and with a plot. :P
4. Your entry must follow the prompt outline.
